A very good friend who is an excellent needlewoman and I worked together in designing and making the two identical panels for the Hospice Chapel. The designs are based on the carvings on pieces of stone which are the support for the altar. The stone was donated to the Hospice and came from an entry Bar in the town. Hand made cords from several types of string outline the shapes, the flowers are machine embroidery on wired voile, and the leaves are Tyvek which had been painted and distressed. The panels hang either side of the window in the Chapel and complement the stone of the altar.
